Vessels of Play One
This is my latest body of work after a long break while i gathered new skills playing and not firing. In the era of life i was in, the time i spend in the studio was unpredictable, and hard won by catching up on favors and bills and chores and sleep. Luckily i am coming out of that phase eager to create and devote some time everyday to my art practice. This work is the first one i was excited to fire that didn't break. The artist statement is really still developing, but i know it has to do with feminism by the way i have to internally fight myself that it is worth me making art and tell myself my time and my hands are my own.
