Marnie Bettridge is an American Artist living in North Florida. She is surrounded by vast ecological beauty that is eminently threatened by man. Her work deals with her inability to save the places she loves and her internal struggles concerning modernity. In short, her works are quite varied, but what they all have in common is they are all a meditation on loss and powerlessness. Whereby, they often elevate something small and beautiful that has been overlooked. She is an Auburn graduate and Auburn Rural Studio participant, she holds a Bachelor of Architecture, and went on for her Master of Architecture from Cornell, and later received an MFA in fine Arts from her hometown university, Florida State.
